When I grow up, I want to travel. That is all.

You see, I have a problem.
Many of you may know that I'm in grade 11 at school.
It seems like students these days are being pressured into figuring out their life by the age of 15. And don't get me wrong, most of them are all sorted, it's just that I don't think I'm really ready to grow up and be independent. In fact, loneliness is my greatest fear.I've always had a thing for travel - the tourism industry. I feel that any career which requires you to experience something new or embrace a new country, is one worth working for. Ever since I started high school, I always wanted a job where I could go somewhere, anywhere, as long as it was out of this town.I have nothing against the town that I'm in, it's just that I get a little bored having seen the same things for 16 years of my life. All of my planners and school books have world maps in them, and in each and every single one of them I've marked all the places I would love to go to - pretty much all of them really.
You know, my trip to the Philippines last summer holidays was probably the greatest time of my life. Life changing in fact. Being in a different country for 2 months was something I hadn't done for about 5 years.

I fell in love with it. With everything.
The scenery, the shopping, the weather, the atmosphere; you name it, i love it.
And not to mention the family, which is something almost non-existent here in Australia. And the other half of my family being in France who, might I add, have never made any contact with me whatsoever.
I missed the feeling of having so much family, so much love, all right here, with you.So yes, I am stuck here for the time being, but that's not going to stop me from being happy.
And yes, I may not be completely happy, I'll have a hole in my heart, but it'll be fixed one day, you see.

  4. @Cesc: Yeah, the world seems so much more beautiful outside of my town. Shame I'm stuck here until I graduate.
